Showcase of our projects
Below are a couple of web and app projects which we run mostly for our own educational purposes as they allow us to keep up to date with app development and running the infrastructure to serve them.
Lektivo
Plugin and theme for WordPress custom made for educational websites such as dance studios.
Easy set up of courses, instructors and locations, with course filters for visitors and clear booking links to the booking system you already use. Lektivo Pro adds the interactive weekly timetable with filters, a view per location and day cards on mobile.
All the News
Website where you can read all kinds of news, from global politics and finance, to small niches like crypto or local news about your hometown.
Features include personalised feeds, bookmarks for later reading, ability to follow specific topics, a quick overview of how the news event is discussed on social media, and fact checking with a confidence score for articles in sensitive categories.
Previous experiments
A couple of earlier projects that we built and ran as internal sandboxes, to learn new technology and get real experience running it in production. Both have been retired, but what we learned from them still shapes how we work.
Family SmartHub
An iOS and web app for organising family life, with shared shopping lists, weekly menus and movie night schedules. It was our sandbox for App Store subscriptions, push notifications, Sign in with Apple and Google, and running a production service on Heroku.
ShocaDB
A service for following podcast and YouTube guests, voting for who you wanted to see on a show, and getting notified when a guest turned up somewhere new. It taught us a lot about structuring data from many different shows and sending timely notifications.
